Frankenstein - Song III (Beauty)

Watch 'Frankenstein Song III (Beauty)' here: https://youtu.be/mqROSffcsAs

It’s been a while since I last made a Frankenstein piece.

That pause wasn’t losing momentum. It was stepping back a little - partly to let the tools develop, and partly to get closer to something I’ve had in mind from the start.

There’s a quiet shift in this piece.

Moving from the confinement of the man-made world into the openness of the forest, the Creature begins to experience something different - not fear, but curiosity. There’s a sense of stillness here, as if the world is being seen for the first time. Light, movement, and the smallest details begin to carry meaning.

The forest became the natural place for that feeling. Not dramatic, not overwhelming - just present. A space where something new can pause, look, and begin to understand. It isn’t knowledge yet, and it isn’t peace. It’s something more fragile than that.

One of the changes in this piece is how the Creature sits within that world. Earlier work leaned more toward layering - placing the character into a scene. Here, the aim was to bring him into it more fully, allowing him to move through the environment, with space both in front of and behind him. It’s a subtle shift, but it changes the feeling. He becomes part of the world, rather than something placed upon it.

In creating the video, I kept returning to the idea of restraint. Letting moments breathe. Letting the camera linger just long enough to suggest awareness without forcing it. The aim wasn’t to explain the Creature, but to sit beside him for a moment as he experiences the world.

Stepping from confinement into space
"Beauty is everywhere - but can you see it?"

This project continues to be a gradual process - building piece by piece, exploring both the tools and the story as they evolve together. Each part adds a small layer, and over time, something larger begins to take shape.

For now, it is enough to look… and to reach for light.

And perhaps, in that first fragile moment of awareness, there is something faintly familiar - not just of his world, but of our own.
